Overview
The Department of Physiotherapy at Father Muller Medical College offers quality education and rehabilitation services in the field of Physiotherapy. The department has experienced faculty who specialize in orthopaedics, sports, neurological and psychosomatic disorders, cardio respiratory, paediatrics and women’s health as well as community based rehabilitation. Treatment services are provided both as in- patient and out-patient departments.

Academics
Academic facilities include undergraduate (Bachelor of Physiotherapy- BPT) and postgraduate (Master of Physiotherapy- MPT) teaching. Undergraduate students observe clinical practice regularly along with class based teaching. Case based learning and evidence based practice are prioritized among students right from the undergraduate level. The college also offers a Masters programe in various units of physiotherapy (cardio respiratory, paediatrics, neurological, orthopaedics and sports and community based rehabilitation). MPT students are encouraged to give equal importance to application and research along with self directed learning and due emphasis on Evidence Based Practice.
