78th INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The 78th Independence Day celebration was held at Father Muller Hospital Thumbay on Thursday  15th August 2024 at 8.15am. The hospital staff, BSc Nursing Students & others assembled at the venue for the flag hoisting ceremony. Rev. Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator FMHT welcomed the gathering.  Dr Kiran Shetty, Medical Superintendent FMHT, Dr. Sr Judy, Principal FMNCT was present for the programme.    The programme started by seeking the blessings of the Almighty through a prayer song, sung by BSc Nursing Students of FMNCT, which was followed  by Hoisting the National Flag by the Chief Guest  Dr. Subraya Krishna Holla. Addressing the gathering the Chief Guest said that, "Today, as we celebrate our nation's 78th Independence Day we honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters who gave us the gift of freedom, and we recognize the tireless efforts of our healthcare workers who embody the spirit of service and care. On this occasion patriotic song and patriotic dance was performed by BSc Nursing Students of FMNCT.  The celebration concluded by distribution of sweets to the gathering. The programme was anchored by Mrs. Agnes Wilma, Staff Nurse, FMHT.
